Best Beaches in Hawaii - Lanai

Only 18 miles wide and 13 miles long, Lanai offers a secluded beach vacation destination with some of the best beaches in Hawaii. While visiting the many Lanai beaches, you can stay at the Four Seasons Resort on beautiful Manele Bay, camp under the stars at Hulopoe Beach Park, or take a day tour from nearby Maui.

  • Hulopoe Beach Park – One of the most romantic and intimate Hawaii beaches, Hulopoe is an exquisite pocket beach at the head of Hulopoe Bay. Some of the best snorkeling in Hawaii is found in the pristine, clear waters teeming with colorful fish of this marine conservation district. Tide pools and an occasional appearance by a pod of spinner dolphins are among the delights found at Hulopoe, one of the best beaches in Hawaii.
  • Shipwreck Beach – Although this is not a swimming beach, the shoreline at low tide is decorated with magnificent shells, making Shipwreck Beach one of the best beaches in Hawaii for beachcombing. The main attraction is the World War II Liberty ship that stands high on the reef and was one of three Navy vessels grounded there during the 1940s. Ancient Hawaiian petroglyphs are also found here.
  • Lopa Beach - With its soft sand and shallow waters, Lopa is a perfect beach for surfing lessons and was once the location of four ancient Hawaiian fish ponds.
