Head out on an all-access Interpretive Rainforest hike. You'll start with a welcome refreshment and fresh fruit and introductions. You'll get a chance to taste the local harvests of fresh vegetables and herbs and learn about medicinal plants and sustainable agriculture. You then finish up with lunch and a visit to the Finca Luna Nueva gift shop and Arenal volcano viewing.
 
This is an exciting excursion where you'll learn about medicinal plants, rainforest ecology, and how to live in harmony with this incredible environment.

Your journey begins with an early morning scenic drive through rural Costa Rica. We'll stop for a break for a natural local snack and continue on to Tenorio Volcano National Park. From there, you'll begin your 4-hour intermediate hike (approximately 7km) through the surrounding tropical rainforest. Then arrive at "Los Teñíderos" where two rivers come together to form the celestial turquoise blue water color that gives the river its name.
